- October, 2018: Regional Cline Award for demonstrated exceptional leadership in program management with the complex transition of WFO Raleigh to a tropical office
- October, 2018: Time off award for operational efforts during Hurricane Florence.
- September, 2018: Local Cline Award for outstanding leadership in planning and executing the WFO Raleigh transition to a tropical office.
- June, 2018: Special act award for efforts related to implementation of the Tropical program at WFO RAH. “For his exceptional leadership and hard work in making WFO Raleigh a tropical office by June 1, 2018. As the WFO Raleigh Tropical Team Leader, Ryan served as the “go-to” person for all activities associated with “spinning up” the tropical program. Working with staff at the local, regional, and national levels, Ryan spent many hours attending collaboration meetings, testing software, identifying and communicating shortfalls, and training forecasters. All of this was accomplished while Ryan worked rotating shifts as part of his normal course of work. ”

- May, 2014: Time off award given to office staff members for outstanding operations during the 2013-2014 winter weather season.
- February, 2014: Time off award given to office staff members for work done with AWIPS II.
- October, 2013: Awarded for helping organize aviation workshops and completion of AWOC Flash Flood Course.
- May, 2013: Awarded for supporting the development of the first Integrated Warning Team Workshop in the Raleigh area.
- March, 2013: Awarded as part of an office team for great winter weather operations.
- December, 2012: Awarded a Quality Step Increase for breadth of work over several years.
- April, 2012: Awarded for taking over the COOP program while OPL was on military leave. Nominated for local Cline Award.
- September, 2011: Awarded for creating an electronic station duty manual and for creating an orographic cirrus forecasting guide.
